The firm comprises a dynamic team of lawyers across multiple practice areas, with a dedicated employment law group of two partners and one manager and one associate. While we provide the full spectrum of legal services, employment law is a core pillar of our practice, accounting for a significant portion of the firm’s work. We primarily advise employers, ranging from SMEs to multinational groups, across industries such as retail, food and beverages, banking, shipping and transport, audit and tax advisory services, education, and centres of excellence.

Our employment team supports clients throughout the entire employment lifecycle. We deliver day-to-day HR advisory services, draft and negotiate employment documentation, prepare workplace policies and handbooks, conduct internal investigations and disciplinary procedures, and advise on regulatory compliance, workforce restructurings, and terminations. We also conduct employment due diligence in the context of corporate transactions and compliance reviews. In parallel, we represent clients in disputes, mediations, and settlement negotiations, working closely with our corporate and M&A practices to examine employee rights during business transfers.

Beyond legal representation, we actively contribute to the employment law community. Despo Andreou is part of the Cyprus Bar Association Committee for Labour law, an active committee that proposes legislative changes and is currently consolidating the Labour laws. In addition we organise events, seminars, and discussions that provide a platform for clients and non-clients alike to exchange views, share challenges, and engage with professionals from different sectors.
