Assembla is a multidisciplinary legal firm in Mexico. Experienced and recognized lawyers, Adrián del Paso, Alejandra Gutiérrez, Juan Miguel Martínez, Alfonso Razú, Sofía Gómez and Andrés Nieto combined forces to create Assembla. It is multidisciplinary group of 20 lawyers that has over 100 years of collective experience in 25 other practice areas, including labor and employment law.

The Labor and Employment Practice is led by Sofia Gomez who also collaborates closely with the Corporate and other Practices of the Firm. She focuses her practice on employment consultancy advising, and implementing preventive strategies for the productive development of employment relationships. Sofia Gómez is an active member of various national and international associations. She is frequently invited as a speaker at international employment conferences.

The Assembla Labor team is comprised of bilingual associates who have earned master’s degrees from prestigious universities and are committed to guide companies on the legal framework for Labor Law in Mexico. The practice helps domestic and foreign companies with a variety of labor-related issues, including: contract negotiations and disputes, severance packages and benefits, employment agreements and disputes, health and safety regulations, collective bargaining and union disputes, work-related injuries and compensation claims, internal investigations, compliance with labor laws and regulations, mediation and arbitration services, etc. The team guides clients on all aspects of employment law and management of their employment relationships, always going above and beyond, not only as lawyers, but as trusted legal advisors.
